Tiny & Mighty Interest Group

The creation of a Tiny & Mighty Interest Group welcomes more librarians into the NLA while giving those librarians a place to be both seen and heard. With this more informal and free option, small library workers may give the NLA a try. After joining the Tiny & Mighty Interest Group, the members may want to join the larger Sections and Round Tables with confidence, and be able to both create and receive more value from our organization. 

Mission

Both small and rural Nebraska libraries are mightier when helping and supporting one another.


Goals

  • Organize a group that specifically represents small and rural libraries within the NLA, thus increasing their presence within the organization.

  • Provide a forum to discuss ideas and issues to benefit rural librarians and their communities.

  • Effectively disseminate important information that may impact small libraries and their workers.

  • Encourage participation within the greater NLA network.
