Nebraska State Capitol and Lunch at Cornhusker Marriott

     Directions

Plan to start with a legistlative briefing at 10 AM in the Nebraska State Capitol.  Meet in the Great Hall, just north of the Rotunda for a briefing from Nick Paden from Rembolt Ludtke Lawfirm.   After the briefing, you will have time to visit with your Senator and legislative aide. Make plans to host your Senator or staff member for the noon Advocacy Day luncheon at the Cornhusker Marriott.

The luncheon speaker will be Angie Lauritsen with the Gretna City Council. After graduating from Bellevue University, Angie spent 13 years in corporate banking before becoming an entrepreneur 12 years ago. Since moving to Gretna 7 ½ years ago, Angie immediately got involved in the community and has served on the Gretna Chamber of Commerce board and Gretna Kids Committee. In 2016, driven by a desire for change and a shortage of female leaders in the community, she decided to run for and was elected to the Gretna City Council.

Angie currently serves on the Board of Directors for Survivors Rising, is President of Greater Omaha Area Marine Parents, and is the founder of the Gretna HomeTown Heroes Program.  She was also named a 2017 Woman of Distinction in Sarpy County by Suburban Newspaper publication.

Don't forget to make contact with your Senator to extend a personal invitation to lunch! CLICK HERE if you do not know your Legislative District. For a complete list of Nebraska State Senators and their contact information, CLICK HERE.
