Virtual Zoom Meeting

The Nebraska Library Association will be hosting a monthly hour-long Zoom session on the third Thursday of the month. The purpose behind these sessions is to allow librarians across the state to network and share information on different topics.

Our next session will be: 21st Century Libraries: the intersection of technology and furniture design

The advancement of technology and access to instantaneous information is rapidly changing the expectations of the built environment for public libraries. This session will provide design research for 21st century libraries. The presentation will review trending library programs and the evolution of library furniture due to the advancements of technology. The presenter will demonstrate ways to design for multiple generations and show you how to maximize flexibility through modular furniture. Attendees will leave feeling inspired with design ideas to implement in their own library spaces, new or old.

Presenter is Meganne Lamprecht (NCIDQ, IIDA, WELL AP), Interior Designer from BVH Architecture in Lincoln.
