————————————-

This year, we are hosting a joint “tri-conference” with the Mountain Plains Library Association for what we are expecting to be the largest library conference Nebraska has seen!  We are returning to the wonderful LaVista Conference Center for this anticipated event.

The Conference Planning Committee is once again anticipating a varied program that will include a number of social events during which exhibitors can network with librarians and other library media professionals. We will also provide uninterrupted time in the program for you to mingle with the attendees.

Returning exhibitors will be given first priority in reserving a site at this year’s conference, in addition to a price break if reservations are made before May 1st.  Space is limited this year; as a result registration is strictly on a first-come, first-serve basis, which is why we want to reward returning vendors with these early opportunities.  NLA/NEMA consistently sells out their conference exhibitor space.

Exhibitors can begin setting up Wednesday, October 17th after 12:00 p.m. Exhibits will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 18th, with an Exhibitor’s Reception from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. On Friday, October 19th, exhibits will be open from 8:00 a.m. to Noon.  Exhibitors are required to stay until Noon on Friday with a complete display. Exhibitors leaving early or not attending the Exhibitors’ reception will not receive priority registration next year.

Pricing is the same as last year, with advanced priority registration for returning exhibitors set at $400 per booth for commercial and $50 for non-profit exhibitors.  This registration fee must be submitted before May 1st.   Exhibitor space will be opened to all exhibitor applications after May 1st and will be $450 per commercial table and $75 for non-profit space.  Late commercial registrations received after the August 1st deadline will be $600 per table, and $100 for non-profit tables until Sept. 1st.   All exhibit space is assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis and NLA/NEMA reserves the right to limit and/or refuse exhibitor applications.

All non-profit exhibitors are limited to one table at non-profit rates.  Additional tables are at the commercial rate.

There is a $35 charge for electrical hook-ups and a charge of $200 for a wired shared Ethernet connection.  Pipe, drape, signage, carpet, tables and chairs are included in the registration fee. The site is equipped with free wireless Internet, however neither NLA/NEMA nor the LaVista Conference Center make any guarantee as to the amount of bandwidth availability during conference.

All exhibitor registration will take again place online this year, and the application can be found on the conference website (http://nebraskalibraries.org/triconference2012). We will be adding more information to this website, such as shipping, additional A/V and programming, as it becomes available.

Library professionals from throughout Nebraska look forward to the annual conference. Now is the time to make acquaintances and meet with professionals from school, academic, special, and public libraries. We hope you will join us and make 2012 the best conference ever.

Many exciting opportunities for company sponsorship or advertising are also available. If you or your company would like to be a corporate sponsor or would like to advertise in the conference program, please contact the Conference Director at NLAExecutiveDirector@gmail.com

We are committed to providing the best conference to our constituency and to you, our commercial and non-profit partners. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your time and support. We look forward to seeing you in October!
