The Membership Committee has not met since the last NLA Board meeting,
however, the Chair of the Committee has been in communication with the members
via e-mail.
NLA President, Pam Bohmfalk, asked the Membership Committee to develop a
short membership survey to be distributed in June in preparation for the NLA
Board meeting and the strategic planning session to be held June 19, 2009. The committee drafted a survey and forwarded it to the NLA president for her approval. After some minor revisions and questions about the capability of the survey software, the survey was prepared for distribution by NLA Webmaster, Emily Nimsakont.

Approximately 100 have renewed their membership since the last NLA Board meeting. There are still approximately 140 who have not yet renewed their membership as of June 15, 2009. This number does not include trustees on the list whose terms may have expired and therefore will likely not renew their membership.
