To qualify, the nominated librarian/media specialist must have received their library/media masters degree within the last five years and be a member of MPLA. You do not have to be a member to nominate someone for this award.

The MPLA Beginning Professional Award will be given at the 2012 MPLA Joint Conference with the Nebraska Library Association in LaVista, Nebraska, 17-19 October 2012.
