Get Involved
Your level of involvement is strictly up to you. You can chair a committee, or decorate the Conference booth, help with the website, or just come to meetings. Just choose an area of interest and let us know how you would like to participate. Below is a list of committees and projects. Your suggestions for new projects are also welcome.
Awards
Help publicize the Beginning Professional and Mentor of the Year awards. Evaluate the current guidelines and make suggestions for clarity.
Conference Connections Mixer
Help organize the Mixer for the NLA conferences.
NLA/NMRT Student Scholarship
Publicize the award; recommend recipient to the Executive Board.
Diversity
Help with recruiting efforts for the library profession
Membership
Help publicize NMRT. Welcome new members and let them know about meetings or ways to get involved.
NMRT Booth
Help staff the NMRT booth and meet other new librarians.
Spring Meeting
Help plan programs, publicize the event
