Michael Sauers
Michael Sauers is currently the Technology Innovation Librarian for the Nebraska Library Commission in Lincoln, NE. For nine years prior to moving to Nebraska, Michael was the Internet Trainer for the bibliographical Center for Research in Aurora, CO. He has been a public library trustee, a bookstore manager for a library friends group, a reference librarian, serials cataloger, consultant, bookseller, and has worked with the New York State Assembly. He is also the Webmaster for the Greece, NY Historical Society and for the fan site of the SF/Fantasy author L.E. Modesitt, Jr. As an amateur photographer, Michael has had his photographs published in both domestic and international publications. He earned his MLS from the University at Albany’s School of Information Science and Policy in 1995, and has a BS in American Studies from SUNY Brockport. Michael’s ninth book, Searching 2.0 will be out in the summer of 2008. He has also written dozens of articles for various journals and magazines. In his spare time he reads about 130 books per year. Having spent the past year here in Nebraska at the Library Commission suggesting to people that things should change and that we shouldn’t do things just because “it’s always been done that way” I’ve decided to put my money where my mouth is. I’m running for vice-chair/chair elect to assist with bringing ITART into the 21st century and to have this round table be seen as a leader both within Nebraska and outside the state.

Rachel Erb
Rachel Erb is currently the Systems Librarian at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Prior to coming to Omaha, she was the Head of Technical Services at Greenville Technical College in South Carolina. As the Technical Advisory Chair for SCILS (South Carolina Information and Library Services Consortium), she was active in assisting the consortium’s Systems Librarian with ILS module and electronic resource management training. As a member of the South Carolina Library Association, she served as Vice Chair and Chair of the New Members Round Table. She is currently a member of C & U’s Program Committee and is the Awards Coordinator for NMRT. She is also a member of ALA, ACRL, and is on the Nominating Committee for ACRL’s CJCLS. She is interested in ITART providing more opportunities for continuing education and creative solutions that address the prevalent digital divide. She holds a degree in Russian Language and Literature from Dickinson College and a Masters in Slavic Languages from Ohio State University. She became interested in librarianship as a graduate assistant at Ohio State and earned an MS in Library Studies from Florida State University in 1997.

Karen Dalziel
Karin Dalsiel is a Library and Information Science master’s student at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and plans to graduate in December of 2008. Currently, Karein works at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Love library as a Library Assistant. Karin is involved in a wide range of library activities including presenting at meetings, writing articles for local publications, and serving as Secretary for the 2007-2008 term of the NLA New Member’s Round Table.

Linda Francois
Before starting at Keene Memorial Library, Fremont 5 1/2 years ago, I owned a computer training and design business. With over 30 years of computer experiences and my belief that no one has to fear technology, I was eager to join ITART. I have been serving as Secretary/Treasurer since January, 2007.
